Coastal Resilience
Planning for Climate Resilience along our Coast
CBCC is excited to announce that we have received a large grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation that will begin next summer to design comprehensive resiliency solutions that improve the use of lands in Coral Bay to protect and enhance community infrastructure and critical mangrove, seagrass and coral reef ecosystems that can benefit species such as shorebirds, pelicans, coral and sea turtles. The project aims to mitigate sediment deposition and flooding to improve resiliency against increasing natural threats such as major wind storms and rainfall.
